In his recent trip to Bogotá, U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken met with 2016 fellow Diego Bahamón Serrato, who is one of Colombia’s most talented tiple players. The two talked about the power of music in bridging cultural divides, and Serrato provided background on the tiple, an instrument primarily played primarily in the Andean region of Colombia, and gave Secretary Blinken a short tiple lesson.
