Shivangini Yeashu Yuvraj is a vocalist, music educator and composer. She has been studying the musical traditions of the Ganga-Jamuna belt and is currently a disciple of Shubha Mudgal. Shivangini got introduced to Thumri-Dadra music during a scholarship she received to learn from Girija Devi, the eminent vocalist of the Banaras Gharana. She has learnt Sikh devotional Gurbani music from Ranjit Kaur and Gursharan Kaur and Western contemporary voice from Yeashu Yuvraj. Shivangini holds a Masters in Hindustani Classical Music and a Licentiate of Performance in Western Contemporary Vocal (RSL Awards). She is the co-founder of The Baithak Experience which curates traditional house concerts for a contemporary lifestyle, and The Better Half Production, a music and photography lab. She enjoys collaborating with creative cultural practitioners from across disciplines to work on art projects, often rooted in a cause they believe in.
