Virginia Moreno is a talented Caracas-based oboist. A graduate of Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado music conservatory and the Vicente Emilio Sojo Conservatory, she has performed in a diverse range of musical projects, from classical orchestras to traditional Venezuelan bands, as well as contemporary ensembles. “I believe in the power of music to create new worlds,” says Virginia, who founded the nonprofit FundaOboeHJK in 2018. Through FundaOboeHJK, Virginia works to provide training and development to Venezuelan musicians who lack resources and academic support.
