Lindsey Abudei

Lindsey Abudei is a Nigerian singer-songwriter from Jos. After receiving her law degree from the University of Jos, Lindsey decided to embark on a career as a solo artist. After releasing a string of successful singles, she won a Radio France Internationale (RFI) Prix Découvertes award in 2013, and went on to present at TEDxPortHarcourt. She released her debut album, …And The Bass Is Queen, in 2016. A ColabNowNow and Art OMI Fellow, Lindsey has used her music to support a number of charities and causes, including awareness campaigns for Sickle cell disease and breast cancer. In addition to her recordings and performances, Lindsey has collaborated with artist Kwasi Darko for his photography project, HERE AND NOW, an exploration of gender and identity in contemporary and traditional African spaces, and Keren Lasme for ‘Cosmic Dance’– a visual and sonic journey into the psyche.
