‘Wall Piano’ – short film by 2017 Fellow Asma Ghanem, OneBeat Co-Director Christopher Marianetti and OneBeat Collaborating Artist Alexia Webster created with young children living in refugee border communities is screening at the Tampere Film Festival, among the most important European short film festivals, until March 21st. The film won the San Francisco International Short Film Festival Impact Award earlier this month.
During the making of the short, the three directors worked with a group of children living near the Qalandia checkpoint in Ramallah, Palestine, a frontline of the West Bank conflict. The idea for this short film came from 12 year-old ‘Nada’, featured in the film.
