In late October, Rapasa Otieno, along with eight emerging musicians from around the world, participated in Making Tracks’ ten-day residency at the Centre for Alternative Technology in Snowdonia, before setting out on 10-date tour, showcasing solo performances and collaborative works incubated during the residency. The Fellows also held workshops at migrant centers and music education hubs. Established in 2010 by Greek ethnomusicologist Katerina Pavlakis, Making Tracks partnered with Found Sound Nation for the first time this year, modifying their program to include social and environmental engagement rooted in music and provide the participants with additional professional development.
