Sumukh Mysore, aka Smokey The Ghost, is a South Indian socio-conscious rapper hailing from the city of Bangalore. Sumukh has been rapping since 2004, and has built a diverse discography working with numerous artists in the Indian hip hop scene. He was the top pic of PAS Chennai and a favorite MC of the review committee, exhibiting a thoughtful and focused lyrical sensibility. Smokey has been a pioneer in the Indian hip-hop scene for the last 19 years. His critically acclaimed debut album Human Form addresses various socio-political issues of Indian society from post-colonial mentality, religious minorities, the caste system, and LGBTQ rights.
