Yassine Reqati, aka REQTEQ, is a Moroccan multi-instrumentalist, producer and DJ. He is an artist with a quirky style that seeks inspiration from tribal African and Moroccan drum beats, the groove of Chicago House music, the fiery spirit of hip-hop, and Maghrebian experimental electronic music. Yassine is a respected commercial music producer in Casablanca, writing scores for advertising and television, including a soundtrack for the web series Koune Kent which has received over 2 million views. He has recently collaborated with many local and international visual and digital artists, exploring performance in public space with project such as projection mapping, audio-reactive, and interactive installations. He is passionate about community engagement and leads multiple music production workshops for kids and teenagers across Morocco.
