Juanita Clarke affectionately known as Juanz, is an energetic and versatile Barbadian session drummer and percussionist, who exhibited an exceptional love and passion for rhythm and drums from a young age. Along with being one of the few female drummers on the island, this well-versed musician moves easily between several genres such as reggae, soca, latin, pop and jazz to name a few and her ability has allowed her the pleasure of performing with international artists and bands across Barbados. Outside of performing, Juanz strongly believes in sharing knowledge and creating memorable experiences and thus, teaches private lessons, provides music therapy for adults and children with special needs and integrates music and literacy concepts to help students who struggle with reading.
