Kira Weinstein is a Moscow-based producer, sound designer and keyboard player. She began her musical career in 2008 fronting the rock group Kira Lao, before releasing her debut solo electronic album Anxious Experience in 2019. Outside her performing work, she has composed extensively for dance and theatrical works, including 40 by choreographers Olga Timoshenko and Alexey Narutto, which was shortlisted for the Golden Mask Award. An eclectic songwriter influenced by classical composers such as Pierre Schaeffer and Terry Riley, Kira’s work often features a range of sounds from autoharp, synthesizer and DIY electronics. Also a talented audio engineer, Kira currently writes music for film and advertising and works as a sound designer for podcasts and audiobooks.
