Sodirkhon Ubaidulloev is an accomplished Khujand-based dutar player. Born to a family of musicians, Sodirkhon followed in his parents’ footsteps and attended the Hunar Center for Traditional Music, where he studied traditional Tajik and Uzbek music music and dutar technique. Together with his Dilnavoz Music Ensemble, Sodirkhon has toured Europe and the Middle East extensively, performing at numerous international music festivals, and was also invited to play at the International Shashmaqam Forever concert in New York. Sodirkhon has also toured as a member of the Uzbekistan-based group Omnibus Ensemble. Sodirkhon has taught at Beijing Conservatory and currently serves as dutar instructor at the Khujand State University.
