Omaya is a Beirut-based keyboardist and founding member of the renowned Lebanese indie band Mashrou’ Leila. Omaya recorded three acclaimed albums and performed internationally with Mashrou’ Leila before deciding to take a step back from the group and touring life. She has since gone on to sharpen her own recording and production skills, and develop her piano and synthesizer playing. Recently, she collaborated with British label Optophono for their Acoustic Cities project, developing a sound collage as part of a sonic exchange between artists from London and Lebanon.
