George is a Beirut-based guitarist, producer, and singer-songwriter. Receiving his Bachelors in Jazz Studies at Notre Dame University, Georges currently works as a guitar instructor and music teacher. Georges has performed and recorded with a wide range of bands and emerging Lebanese artists including composer Saty Mookan, alternative soul group Decibel hunter and NDU jazz ensemble. His recent experimental work with Lebanese musician and sound artist S.HA incorporates ambient loops based on traditional rhythms and is inspired by Arabic zajal poetry. Their collaborations appear on Mortuary Hymn, a response to Beirut’s recent history and an elegy “mourning the loss of our Lebanese society.”
