Amna Siddique is a young Pakistani vocalist and composer. Holding a BS degree in Musicology from the National College of Arts, in Lahore, she is one of the first women in her community to pursue a professional career in music, challenging the traditional gender stereotypes in her culture, as well as serving as inspiration for younger girls who wish to follow their artistic vocation. Amna’s music tastefully blends modern production elements with flavors of regional folk music and traditional instruments. An advocate for the empowerment of women, she seeks to develop community projects that can grant women virtual access to music education and the opportunity to stand up for their rights.
