Marcio Zygmunt, a.k.a Marcioz, is a young Curitiba-based producer from Brazil. His work delves deeply into the investigation of various South American racial identities. Through his practice, Marcioz seeks a musical identification of the miscegenation that took place in colonial-Brazil through the use of different harmony and rhythm patterns, as well as instruments, coming from Africa to the American continent during that time. A 2019 Goethe Talents, Pop Kultur resident at Music Pool Berlin, he has taught Ableton music production courses at Universidade Federal do Paraná while studying music composition.
