Andre Alvarez is a contemporary percussionist and indigenous flute player who teaches and plays traditional instruments of the Andean region of Bolivia. She received a formal training at the Conservatorio Plurinacional de Música. With a major interest in improvisation and balancing both contemporary and traditional approaches to music, Andre is a key member of several music groups, including TriToNo Percussion Ensemble, Ceviche Mixto Latin American Music Ensemble, Conjunto de de Moseñada Nueva Sensacion, and the Orquesta Experimental de Instrumentos Nativos (OEIN), where she also works as an interpretation teacher focused on preserving the heritage of Bolivia’s traditional indigenous music.tr
