Labib Benslama is a versatile composer and multi-instrumentalist from Constantine who plays the oud, n’goni gele, transverse flute, and sansula. He was part of the project ‘El foukr R’assambly’, which featured a farmer, taxi-driver, builder, graphic designer and a sound engineer working collaboratively to create a short film and music linking the Maghreb to the rest of Africa. He is also part of a storytelling project that explores old stories and legends from North Africa. In his words, Labib aims to create spaces where musicians can create art freely.
