José David Lunar is a composer, arranger and Venezuelan Cuatro player based in Caracas. Born into a family of musicians in Margarita Island, José David is the third generation of composers in his family tree. Immersed in music from the cradle, he is one of the composers of the award-winning band CAYIAO, blending traditional Venezuelan music with pop arrangements and electronic beats. He has collaborated with renowned artists such Aquiles Báez, C4 Trío, Caramelos de Cianuro, Okills, among others. As a music teacher with solid experience, José David focuses on the preservation of traditional music from Venezuela, seeking ways to expand the reach of his instrument among the youth.
