Towfiq Arifin Turjo is a highly skilled drummer from Dhaka, Bangladesh, collaborating in an eclectic range of projects across the genres of pop, rock, and jazz. He recently participated in the Dhaka Art Summit, one of the largest art exhibitions in South Asia, collaborating in an interdisciplinary theatrical production. Committed to social change, he regularly organizes masterclasses and performance opportunities for emerging artists of Bangladesh with limited opportunity for formal training, and he wishes to continue building the very young jazz scene in Dhaka, where he resides.
