Goodluck Babatunde is a Lagos-based percussionist specializing in traditional Yoruba drumming on djembe, bata and sakara. Goodluck studied music at Footprints of David Art Academy, a nonprofit program focusing on gifted youth from disadvantaged homes or backgrounds, and he has gone on to perform at numerous festivals throughout Nigeria and Europe. Recently, Goodluck served as co-curator for FODAF, a community art festival in Bariga which promotes using music as a means to spread awareness against child and domestic abuse in Nigerian society. He is committed to using music to address social issues, focusing on the global space political crisis and preserving his homeland.
