Firas Andari

Firas Andari is a Beirut-based maqam singer and Arabic classical musician. A member of the Assil Ensemble, he performs traditional Arabic folk music as well as Egyptian pop music regularly at Beirut’s Metro al Madina theatre and cabaret. Also an active educator, he is currently a music teacher with nonprofit Action for Hope, where he leads vocal and oud workshops for underserved youth in the Beqaa Valley, as well as with the Imad Hashisho Oud Program in Saida. Also a trained sound engineer, Firas has worked as an in-house recordist and live tech for the Foundation for Arab Music Archiving & Research (AMAR).
