Andy Mkosi, AKA ANDYMKOSI, is a cultural practitioner, songwriter and rapper based in Johannesburg who is interested in the research of spiritual sounds. She works across various artistic disciplines, including photography, performance, curation, cinematography, and teaching, and has a profound passion for sound and archives. Keeping in mind that she is supported by a marginalized community, whose safety is always at risk, especially in nightlife spaces, Andy explored a different route and was awarded funding to produce a Bedroom Tour Experience, a show that was performed in the homes of supporters and family. Andy is currently dedicated to learning the art of music production, drawing inspiration primarily from archival materials.
