“No Llores Más” emerged as a collaboration between Barranquilla-born-and-raised vocalist Mathieu Ruz and Brooklyn-based trombonist/composer Alex Asher during OneBeat Colombia. Recorded as part of a video shoot at MonoKike’s (Carlos Bejerano) apartment in Bogotá, this heartwarming song meshes Mathieu’s characteristic Caribbean vocal style with a slow reggae groove and psychedelic textures.
