Tariro neGitare performed at the TEDx conference in Harare this fall. The OneBeat Alumna performed her song ‘Mazuva ese hafanane – no two days are the same’. She followed the performance of the song, which mixes indigenous Zimbabwean folk sounds and Afro Soul, with a powerful speech about some of the pressure she faced as a woman in a music industry that has been male-dominated. Tariro was also invited to speak about her organization, Magitare Africa Trust, which focuses on using the creative arts as a tool for engagement with different communities.
