Yen-Lin Goh is a Kuala Lumpur-based pianist, vocalist, composer and improviser. Yen-Lin started including toy piano and other toy instruments into her performances after discovering their unlimited potential through Ge Ganru’s melodrama Wrong, Wrong, Wrong. An avid performer of contemporary classical music, Yen-Lin has premiered numerous solo and chamber works across North America, Europe, Africa, and Malaysia, drawing influence from Western classical and improvised music, as well as traditional Chinese and Malaysian culture. Her many years of international experience, along with her exposure to Suzuki approach, Deep Listening, and Dalcroze Eurhythmics, have inspired her to develop an interactive teaching model based on multi-sensory learning using game-like activities in classrooms. Yen-Lin has a diverse teaching background, holds a doctorate in Contemporary Music, and is currently a senior lecturer at Sultan Idris Education University in Malaysia.
