Tatiana Vanessa López Churata is a plastic artist, performer, and traditional Bolivian instrumentalist. She has been a member of the Experimental Orchestra of Indigenous Instruments (OEIN) since age 11, and has been part of the OEIN board of directors since 2016. She has also worked as a teacher in annual workshops for children and young people in the OEIN’s Musical Initiation Program (PIM). As a performer, she plays various wind instruments from the Andes such as quenas, pinkillos and sikus in traditional and contemporary music. As a plastic artist, she works in the fields of ceramic instrument construction, painting, drawing, costume design and sound installation. Her artistic work is especially influenced by the various forms of indigenous expression in Bolivia, especially music, textiles and ceramics.
