Stacy Busch is a composer & performer who utilizes her voice with electronics to build unique sound worlds. Based in Kansas City, Missouri, her work merges art pop, avant-classical and songwriting with mental health advocacy. During the pandemic she collaborated virtually with a number of artists across disciplines, including scoring Keeping Time – New Dance Partners, a dance piece with the Owen/Cox Dance Group and NYC-based choreographer Caili Quan, and Pause, a response to the abrupt stop to normal life due to COVID-19. For the past two years she has been working on a new music and theater production that focuses on young people dealing with addiction and mental health and has partnered with the University of Kansas Medical Center to bring the production into medical centers. She is the co-founder of No Divide KC, an arts and advocacy non-profit that produces artistic events focused on the stories of underserved and misrepresented communities in Kansas City.
