Mohamed Oussama Houij, aka Gorbi ڨربي, is a singer-songwriter and interdisciplinary artist from Tunisia. Self-taught in music, sound design and digital art with an academic background in environmental engineering, he takes an interdisciplinary approach to his art practice and has a wide-open, collaborative, and playful approach to creativity. With a strong footing in his North African musical and visual heritage, Oussama uses sampling, videotaping, collages and a dose of humor to discuss current social, political and environmental events in his home country and region. He has performed at various festivals including Interference, Saha Chribtek, and Mäa Elmoghreb. He is currently preparing to release his first EP as an independent artist.
