Pei Ann Yeoh is a violinist, cellist, and composer based in Kuala Lumpur. With a musical background rooted in the western classical tradition, she has found improvisation to be the biggest tool in learning new musical styles and participating in different musical communities. Her experience in various genres such as contemporary jazz, avant-garde music, klezmer, and folk songs highlights a desire to explore expressions of a shared heritage in a multicultural society. Using interdisciplinary approaches with dance and visual arts to create new artistic works, Pei Ann is also experimenting with electronic music in live-performance settings as a way to develop her creative practice.
