Mohamed Benslama is a Tunisian multi-instrumentalist, hailing from the coastal town of La Marsa. A versatile composer, guembri player, guitarist, and ethnomusicologist, he is dedicated to preserving the native music of North Africa through performance, research, and improvisation. He recently created the program Creatives Unlimited, which united 30 artists from 12 different countries on the topic of collaborative performance through co-creation and research. His work often fuses traditional Tunisian instruments and sounds with jazz and electronic music, and he is committed to multi-disciplinary and civically engaged work.
