Ju Strassacapa, a.k.a LAZÚLI, is a vocalist and songwriter based in São Paulo. Ju is a founding member of the influential band Francisco, el Hombre, and has toured extensively, collaborating with many well known musicians within Latin America. Strassacapa was nominated for a 2018 Latin Grammy for the song ‘Triste, Louca ou Má’ which questions the roles of women in society. One of Ju’s first EP single’s speaks out in favor of free, legal and safe abortion for women in Brazil. Ju’s work is committed to social issues around non-binary folx and women’s empowerment, and is centered around spirituality and healing practices.
