Hiba Elgizouli is a young up and coming Sudanese singer-songwriter, currently based between Khartoum and Cairo. She grew up in an artistic household, and went on to found a creative production company with her sisters, The Elgizouli Sisters, where they showcase their artistic work and also support the work of emerging creatives in Sudan. Hiba has participated in a number of cultural exchanges and artistic incubators both as a singer and video director, and competed in the 2016 edition of Arabs Got Talent. Hiba has also worked in a number of cross-disciplinary settings, including working with acclaimed Sudanese theater director Walid Alalphy. She is the co-founder of the first all-female Sudanese band, Salute Yal Bannot. The group of eleven women uses their music to speak about societal issues in Sudan.
