Dinar Rizkianti is a vocalist and composer from West Java whose work is based on the exploration of the mechanics of the human voice. Her goal is to show that the human voice is an increasingly flexible musical instrument that can be processed both individually and collectively to create an unlimited sound offer. Dinar is one of the initiators of the Perempuan Komponis Forum, a community that advocates for the diversity of contemporary music and for a more equal Indonesian music landscape, aiming to build safe exploration spaces for Indonesian female musicians. She has performed at prestigious gamelan and avant-garde festivals and recently participated in the Composer’s Residency in Kata Bunyi Forum organized by Kandhang Hybrid Art Space. Currently, she is a lecturer at the Bandung Institute of Arts and Culture in the Department of Music.
