Daria Venislavicheva, aka Synthestetka, is an electronic musician based in Moscow. Daria trained as an opera singer at the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts and went on to study music production at Maskeliade Music School. Her music as Synthestetka combines electronic sounds drawn from synthpop, IDM and techno while interweaving traditional Slavic folk motifs and European classical music, exploring themes of post-Soviet collective memory and destructive phenomena in society. A DIY independent artist, Daria self-released her first mini-album Bayan («Баян») in 2022, which she produced and artistic directed, and recently completed an international tour in Georgia. Also a commercial composer and sound engineer, Daria has created original music for leading Russian sports goods brand Sportsmaster and Zoological Museum of Moscow State University.
