Apeal Paudel is a vocalist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist exploring a diverse array of stringed instruments, including sarod, sārangi, tungnā, and guitar. Graduating as valedictorian from Kathmandu University’s Department of Music with a degree in Ethnomusicology, he is now pursuing a master’s degree to deepen his expertise and forge holistic connections between his passion for music, spirituality, and community.
Apeal serves as the vocalist and sarod player for the Kathmandu-based fusion band Sonāgi Blues, where he integrates traditional rhythms and melodies within a contemporary framework. He is also a contributor to Bhalā Bhali, a project that showcases Nepal’s rich musical heritage through audio-visual mediums. Additionally, under the supervision of clinical music therapists at Maitri Music Therapy, he is training to become a therapeutic music practitioner, aiming to use music as a therapeutic tool in health care and community settings.
