Daniel Schreiner is a Brooklyn-based pianist, multimedia artist, and composer of diverse interests. As a classically-trained pianist, Daniel has performed throughout the United States and Europe, collaborating with members of the JACK Quartet, Ensemble Calliopée, the Mannes American Composers Ensemble, Balance Campaign, and BlackBox Ensemble, to name a few. Having also majored in Studio Art while attending Williams College, Daniel is interested in integrating two-dimensional visual art, sound art, and performance art with piano music, seeking to create immersive experiences that revel in the uncategorizability of sound, the natural world, and human identity. His latest projects include a trilogy of piano works inspired by the water cycle, multi-movement graphic scores written for open instrumentation, and Freely, an album of co-composed, remotely-created duets paired with multimedia video responses.
