Daniel Limaverde

Producer

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Daniel Limaverde is a Rio De Janeiro-based producer. The son of Brazilian singer-songwriter Ednardo, Daniel grew up in a highly musical household and largely taught himself to play different instruments and produce. His love of minimal music, vintage jazz and left-field pop shines through his smooth sample-driven beats and crystal clear production style. In 2014, Daniel was invited to participate in Red Bull Music Academy’s Tokyo edition. In 2020, he received a OneBeat Accelerator grant for his project ‘Palimpsesto’, a nonfiction narrative podcast featuring stories from Brazil that help redefine and re-contextualize the country’s history through many different lenses, using social studies, interviews with scholars and academic researchers, and arranged in a narrative structure akin to shows like Radiolab and This American Life.
