Ana Luisa Diaz de Cossio is a musician whose work traverses the space between social structures, individuality, and spontaneity, exploring resonance in both physical and cultural spaces. Through extreme extended techniques, Ana’s work challenges conventional instrument playing, pushing the possibilities and limits of sounds within an instrument. Ana has worked in diverse environments, from rural to institutionalized communities in North America, West Africa, and Northern Europe. When facilitating activities, her aim is to foster a trauma-informed, safe space for creative practices centered around attentiveness, relationality, co-creation, consumption, progress, cultural desire, identity stories, and restoration.
