Born in Taichung, Immanuel Dannenbring (a.k.a. MOXINA) is a sound artist and composer of both electronic and acoustic music. His work explores the boundaries between academic and popular music through performance, sound design and curation. Performing as MOXINA, Immanuel makes heavy use of sampled found sounds and field recordings, as well as percussion in rehearsed and improvised settings. In early 2024, he released his debut album Collapse via Prague-based label YUKU. A dedicated advocate for local music scenes, Immanuel has worked as program organizer for the performing arts and educational space Little Play, curated experimental clubbing event Meta Flexing and currently programs Interface, an experimental concert series in his hometown of Taichung.
