Adrián Felipe Viáfara is a Cali-based percussionist and clarinetist. A graduate of the Popular Culture Institute, Adrián performs everything from chirimía to salsa, jazz and afrobeat on his marimba de chonta. He has collaborated with well known artists including tropical singer Choco Orta, cuatro player Edward Ramirez and marimba player José Antonio Torres ‘Gualajo’, and toured festivals throughout Latin America and Europe. Adrian is currently a member of LaPacificanPower, a fusion group reinterpreting the traditional music of the Pacific Coast.
