Tian is a dynamic contemporary composer, vocalist and improviser who is also a multidisciplinary artist. She was one of seven composers selected to showcase at the 2017 Soundbridge Southeast Asia Young Composer’s Showcase. Her music is highly conceptual, and she often dives into the relationship between sound and movement, such as with her contemporary piece, “Blossom”, which featured a mixed ensemble of traditional and Western instruments and a Javanese court dancer.
