Jenna Camille is a versatile Washington D.C.-based singer and producer. A formally trained jazz pianist, she is also an accomplished songwriter and beatmaker whose work has been featured by outlets including the New York Times, BBC, I-D France and Washington Post. Her lyrics challenge ideas about Black womanhood, and her releases, such as her EP RED (2013), tackle issues of sexual and domestic abuse and mental health. Jenna has performed at a wide range of events, including the Chale Wote Street Art Festival in Accra, Ghana, and the Common Ground Music Festival in Lansing, Michigan. She currently tours with Jazz-Spoken Word group Heroes Are Gang Leaders, and is signed to HipNott Records.
