Fulya Uçanok is an Istanbul-based pianist and electro-acoustic composer. After completing an undergraduate degree in classical piano at Hacettepe Ankara State Conservatory, Fulya received Darmasiswa, a government-sponsored grant, to study Balinese gamelan abroad in Indonesia. Returning to Istanbul, she became a member of the new music and free improvisation group Karakulak Ensemble and embarked on a prolific series of sound art collaborations.
