Dmitry Burmistrov, also known as Mitya (formerly Masta Mic), is a musician, producer, multi-vocalist and internationally recognized beatboxer based in Russia. An early fan of heavy metal, he played a “two-fanta-plastic-bottle self-made drum machine” in his first band with his brother on guitar. After learning to beatbox, Mitya bought first synth and looping pedal and started posting videos online. His YouTube channel has gone on to attract nearly 50 million video views and over 200,000 subscribers. Mitya has performed alongside many acclaimed and local musicians, hosted programs on television, been named Ambassador of the Universiade, earned a Grand Prix in journalism and led the Russian beatbox team at the La Cup competition.
