OneBeat 2018 brings together 24 adventurous musicians from 17 countries to reimagine NASA’s landmark Voyager Golden Record through the lens of digital culture and global folklore.

 

Mixtapes

The OneBeat 2018 mixtape, divided into six chapters, takes inspiration from Carl Sagan’s famous 1971 Golden Record, sent into outer space aboard two Voyager spacecrafts, setting a human record for the farthest flung human LPs. The first chapter, the green-blue Earth, focuses on acoustic and organic sounds created by the 2018 OneBeat Fellows, hailing from 17 different human countries.
