Natallia Kunitskaya is singer-songwriter and electronic music producer performing under the name Mustelide. She creates intelligent pop and electronic music, utilizing left-field sampling techniques, analogue synthesizers and vocals performed in her native tongue. After spending seven years playing keyboard in several Belarusian rock bands, Natallia launched her solo career, releasing two critically acclaimed LPs. Producing music independently in her home studio, her brazen beats explore the sound of her own subconscious often bearing idiosyncratic results – a drum section sampled completely out of recorded cries of owls or flamenco dances. After her albums garnered international attention, Natallia went on on to tour numerous festivals across Europe including Reeperbahn Festival (Hamburg), MENT (Ljubljana) and Tallinn Music Week (Estonia). Natallia recently contributed to MAKEOUT, a Belarusian feminist anti-discriminatory project which seeks to raise awareness and protect LGBTQ rights, and has partnered with local charities advocating for orphan youth in Belarus.
