Zeynep Ayşe Hatipoğlu is a cellist and composer from Istanbul, Turkey who is currently researching Turkish Taksim music at Istanbul Technical University.
“I would love to record sounds from different places around Istanbul where urban regeneration happened or is going to happen, because there are many, many historical places. I would love to invite musicians, like sulukule, from different places. And maybe it could be like an exhibition, [with] the sound, and you [can] experience a building before it’s destroyed, maybe record the sounds of the building and try to experience the places, the history.”
