Marina Vishnyakova is a Nizhny Novgorod-based violin player and composer. A graduate of Nizhny Novgorod State Conservatory, Marina was awarded a prestigious Fulbright Scholarship to research jazz in the United States and went on to earn her Master’s at University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. She is the composer and arranger for several different ensembls, including the string quartet Granpri, which has graced the international jazz festival circuit and performed on Russian television. Marina has also collaborated and performed alongside jazz luminaries like John Medeski, Warren Oree, G.Calvin Weston and Monnette Sudler.
