Marina Vishnyakova is a Nizhny Novgorod-based violin player and composer. Mastering a range of styles (Balkan, Irish, Jewish) at Nizhny Novgorod State Conservatory, Marina was awarded a prestigious Fullbright Scholarship to research jazz in the United States and went on to earn her Master’s at University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She is the writer and arranger for renowned string quartet Granpri, which has graced the international jazz festival circuit and performed on Russian television. Marina has also collaborated and performed alongside jazz luminaries like John Modeski, Warren Oree, G.Calvin Weston and Monnette Sudler. Currently, Marina works as a violin instructor and conductor at Dzerzhinsk Music College.
