OneBeat 2012 Fellow Song-Hee Kwon has been working towards modernizing the traditional vocal form of Korean Pansori singing, creating original concert music that combines Pansori with diverse genres and electronics. She credits her OneBeat experience as encouraging her exploration of modern music and improvisation. She has also recently collaborated in an avant garde theater called Auri with 2012 fellow & gayageum player Kyungso Park and she has been performing with traditional Spanish instrumentalists as well. In May 2016, Song Hee will perform at an event celebrating Korea-France amnesty, showcasing her original modernized Pansori works.
