Anton Maskeliade (Russia 2012) is one the forefront of musicians who are using gesture control technology (think Playstation Kinect but artsy) to perform live electronic music. Recently named one of the Featured Artists on Ableton’s website, he is briefly interviewed on how he uses a LEAP Motion device combined with a few other devices to create sick beats on the fly. Anton also uses this technology to manipulate visuals in his performances, often linking specific visuals to different movements to create a complete show using the movement of his body.
OneBeat 2015 Portrait – Bajram Kafu Kinolli
Bajram Kafu Kinolli is a vocalist and singer-songwriter from Kosovo: “I do believe in non-formal education. I’m doing that back home also. In my country, I’m trying to build an association of musicians that can affect society in a political way, because i believe if you are not part of the system, you cannot change the system.” This is the 1st in our series of video portraits featuring our OneBeat 2015 Fellows.
